This week I gave a {boring} standing lamp a much-needed makeover.
It was my husband's, until he decided, on a whim, that he didn't want it anymore.
Of course, I saved it in our spare bedroom before he could even think of throwing it out.
I'm a hoarder, remember?
A healthy one, though.
I knew I wanted it to be colorful.
There's no room for black in my tiny house.
So I picked out a bright aqua fabric. Decked with flowers, of course. Took some measurements. And with spray adhesive {I used the Elmer's kind}, I attached my floral fabric to the {boring} fabric lampshade.
Please excuse the bad lighting & the fraying zebra towel.
We've been having random gloomy weather lately.
I painted the lamp frame a metallic gold,
Slipped the lampshade back in,
& found the lamp a new home next to my loveseat.
The best part is, it has shelves so it doubles as a side table.
Perfect for books, coffee mugs and maybe some extra blankets come winter time.
Don't you love pieces that have multiple features?
i H-E-A-R-T this fabric.
Colorful. Floral. Mismatched. & totally perfect!
Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!
I'm going to go admire my new lamp/side table now :)
