Artisan Fair & A Chalkboard For My Little Artist.

I know this is so "last week's news", but this past weekend, a friend from church told me about the 2nd Annual Lakeland Artisan Fair. It's a small fair with live music where different vendors come together at the Tuesday Music Club to display their unique homemade goods ranging from things like bookcovers, magnets, flowers, hair accessories, jewelry, paintings, baked goods, scarves...you know, the stuff you'd find on Etsy. Only 95% cheaper! Here are a few pictures I took to share:

Unfortunately, I didn't come home with anything because I didn't have any cash :( but next year, I'll be ready. I did, however, manage to finish repurposing one of Jason's early birthday presents.

A large $5 yardsale picture frame that was painted into a chalkboard. By the way, if you're thinking of making your chalkboards magnetic; WARNING: Krylon's magnetic paint does not work. The chalkboard paint works like a dream though!
Hope everyone had a lovely Memorial weekend. Ours was full of sunshine and relaxation. And if you're anything like me, it might have involved lots of emotion. I just get so freakin' proud of our troops and the men & women who've made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our freedom, it makes me tear up on days like Memorial Day.

  1. I hate it when I don't have cash on me for events like that. Darn!

Chalkboard turned out great! I bet Jason loves it!
